Three scratches shy of a decade

In the midst of the madness that usually surrounds our normal day it dawned on me that last week marked seven years of living in South Africa. The day passed with barely an itch which suggests that I must be in a fairly good head space right now. Every good point needs a counterpoint however and this was provided in the form of Crouching Feline, Hidden Lobster.

I’m not sure what it says about my head space that made me want to write about a man and his illusive, foul mouthed, female cat but it made sense at the time and should provoke a few laughs amongst the many fans of imaginary swearing cats. It seems that Shortbread Stories flushes the editing queue on a Tuesday so I’m hoping it will appear tomorrow. It will be interesting to see how it’s received as I had a lot of fun writing it.

The Curse is also ready to go but I’m holding it back until CFHL hits the bookshelves so to speak. I’m not sure why it bothers me but for some reason if I see a bunch of stories appearing at the same time on the site from one author I mentally shy away and look for those poor souls with just a single story to their name for the week. I guess if I apply that logic to others I have to assume there are other weirdos like me out there just waiting for a chance to ignore my multiple-release show-offyness. Not sure if that’s a word…but I like it.

I'm also not sure what happens next…there are a couple of ideas lurking in the shadowy box of tricks I’m sure, so best to dive in and see which one attaches itself to my face in a frenzied bid for freedom.
